Default 03 Won't stay running!!

I start the truck, it idles for a while and dies. Trouble codes:
P0541 Intake Air Heater Relay 1 Low
P0113 Intake Air / Charge Temperature Sensor High

So I think the heater grid (which I just hooked back up), is bad and disconnect it. Same thing still happends. Start the truck, runs for a while about a min and dies.

I just finished intalling 50 HP injectors in my 03 Common Rail. I was having issues starting the truck. First I replaced the lift pump with a new air dog. No good. Replaced the injection pump...no good. Replaced the injectors...starts every time. In between all of this, i disconnected the heater grid and started the truck with ether (i know this is bad but i had no choice).

After I replaced the injectors this evening, I took it for a test run. It had power to spare! And was getting even better mileage! After ten minutes down the interstate, (I wanted to get the operating temp up) the truck lost all power. No smoke, plenty of boost, just acts like it isn't getting fuel. I drained the air dog. no good. This is my daily driver and I need to get it back on the road ASAP. I'd take it into a dealer but I just spent all of my money on injectors!

I forgot to add that the filter for the air dog has less than 10k miles on it. I seriously doubt it's mechanical. Can you guys think of anything electrical to check? I already checked all of the sensors on the rail and the one on the intake. They were all plugged in. I tried to run the truck again after this to no avail.

A bad batch of fuel can plug a filter in a lot less than 10k miles. I think that would be a good place to look at least. If you must use a starting helper spray wd-40 is much safer on the engine.

First you need to be sure you are getting pressure at the CP3 pump. Next, you need to monitor rail pressure to insure that you are not loosing it. That will require a scanner. Next, did you go over your install procedure on the injectors? Everything torqued?

yes everything is torqued. It was my first time on a common rail so everything was checked twice or more. I'm in the military and very **** about procedure. I'm rigging a pressure guage up tonight to the airdog right before the cp3. I think it may be collapsing the line in the tank (i didn't get the 150 air dog, just the 100 and didn't replace the line in the tank). I didn't think I would need the 150 with only 50HP injectors though...Is this even a possibility?

Thanks for the wd 40 tip...wish i'd known that a while back!

If thats so then you could pull the fuel cap and listen to see if its returning fuel to the filler neck. It will only return fuel if it reaches operating pressure or has an internal malfunction.
