You have a bad injector. Not uncommon on 6oh's. They have finicky injectors.

If you pull the valve cover and find damaged wires, then fix those and repeat the buzz test before you replace the injector.

But I think you'll find the injector has gone south.

Boy, those 6.0's are problematic, aren't they. Good luck with this, and keep us posted.

The valves in the top of injectors will by pass cold thick oil when they start goin south, so once the truck warms up it'll run fine sometimes.

And it could be part of the reason you're gettin bad milage.

How often do you change your oil?

6oh HPOS maxes out at 3500, so it's extra hard on oil. Bad oil tears up finiky injectors even quicker.

Without the truck in front of me I can't be 100%, but I'm 90% that new injectors will fix the problem.

Elite Diesel is kinda leadin the way with 6.0's last I knew. You might give Innovative Diesel a call, if he can't get your injectors, he can definately point you at the best deal. First Coast Diesel Performance is supposed to be another good shop for 6oh's.

I wouldn't buy stockers though, most of the time you end up payin as much or more for stockers as you would for some mild performance injectors.

And I doubt you need a full set, but if 4, and 8, etc are havin issues, the others aren't far behind.
