Default powerstroke wont run under a load

hello guys, i have a problem with my 95 powerstroke diesel. it is a 5spd. recently i ran the truck really low on fuel and it hasnt been running right since. i have replaced the fuel filter and also the fuel pump on top of the engine. the truck will stumble at first then runs great. it will rev fine and acts like it should. the problem is that when u try to drive the truck it starts stumbling and missing like its getting no fuel. if i park the truck and let it idle it will settle down and run fine again till u try to drive it again. the truck ran perfect till almost running out of fuel. on several occasions i have let it idle for anywhere from 10min to an hour. problem still persists. i am new to diesels and im trying to learn as i go. i love the truck but i just need it to run right again. am i missing something? PLEASE HELP!

Did you just run it low, or did you completely run it out? If it ran out, you may have ruined some injectors. They've been known not to like that.
