WTF is going on, the HPOP just feeds off the oil out of the res, so what can be blocking it from getting into the HPOP, the more i think about it the more I decide that it has has has to be something somehow blocking the hpop from getting a sufficient feed of oil, am I wrong??
Good point...

Have you cranked it with the lines disconnected? Is the HPOP movin any oil at all?

The thing I keep comin back to is the solenoid. If it's smoked even hot wiring it won't open the IPR. But, if the new IPR's had new solenoids then that's probably not the issue.

Did y'all reuse the main gasket, or did you buy a new gasket? Any chance a new gasket for a SD motor made it onto the OBS and is blocking an oil port?

Again, it wouldn't explain the original problem...

That's a pretty big job, and I think he mentioned that low pressure oil pressure was in the normal range.

ok i was just thinking if the lpop could be loosing its prime and causing the hpop to not get oil. but it seems unlikely that a truck with 85k on it would have a pickup issue.

Think you may find that gear in the timing cover didn't seat correctly and is bound. Pull the res before you mess with that and let us know what you find. You've definately got me interested.
