Like I was sayin earlier bro, it's gotta be the IPR dirrecting FULL flow to the injectors no matter the commanded DC% is, or the sensor is lying to the PCM, causin the issue.

And since 4000 ICP is freakin unheard of on a 15* HPOP, I think your ICP sensor is freakin out.

Try replacin that, if it don't work, you can take the part back out and go get your money back.

I think that should be your next step, followed by the IPR if the sensor don't fix the problem.

the truck has 232k on it, the pump has been replaced i'd imagine but im not entirely sure, i will ask him. but it does have new tanks with pickup screens.

im gonna take chvyrkr's advice and replace the sensor and see what happens, at this point what do i have to loose?

I promise it's a HPO issue.

Fuel issues on a PSD cause coughing and stalling, not loping.

ok i have not had the time to try the new icp sensor. but i have another symptom....

starts running crappy while driving every now and then, small lack of power and runs rough.

More loping/surging? HPOS.

If it's more like a cough or stall, check the fuel pressure. Does it still have the factory lift pump in the valley?

yes the whole truck is factory besides the exhaust which is just the factory downpipe.

not really loping, more like surging and running rough. (alot of intermittant vibration and moderate power loss). but it only happens about once every time you drive it.

sorry guys for the lack of updates, but i have not had the time to do the icp sensor yet. im actually caught up at work swapping a blown 7.3 with a good one on a 01 350 dually.

but.... i will update soon because i will be doing glow plugs on this truck within a week or two, so please do not close the thread.
