Is it a 99 or a 99.5? In 99.5 Navistar went to a split shot injector for better emmisions. The difference between a single shot and split shot working is a big difference in timing. I think you're on the right track about the new computer. But you may have shifting issues. I'd try the old computer with the old injectors. Good luck!

Its an early 99 with a 2001 engine so the difference in injecters my be it...when he changes the computer ill let you know. thanks for the info!!

um the trannys are the same they changed them in 99 and then again when the 6.0 came out or 6.4 not sure which one but a new comp should work
