Some kind of blockage. Hose gettin soft and collapsin, thermostat stuck shut or it's time to flush the system and have the radiator boiled out would be the most likely things I could think of.

Could need a new radiator cap. Had some comin out of my truck and put and new cap on it and no more.

Silly questions, but did you see any air bubbles coming up through the coolant? Did it smell like exhaust at all? Have you checked any of the other fluids?

Hows the engine temp?? Heater keep a steady supply of heat, or does it fluctuate hot and cold (head gasket)?
