Stranded in NV
02 5.9 Cummins ...check engine light came on, lost acceleration..got screwed by Dodge ...they said
1) reman PCM ...did it..no change
2) then they said ..reman ECM..did it..no change
3) they replaced the MAP sensor..no change
4) they replaced the IAT sensor..no change
5) checked all voltages from harness...perfect
6) turbo checked...fine
7) TPS checked...ok
So far they have charged me 16 hours of labor, nearly 2500 $ in parts and it still runs just like it did when the check engine light came on!! 16 hours of labor charges at 100$ per hour!!
codes P 1693
P 0112
P 0237
I have spent almost the same as I would have for a new Cummins ...Jaysus can somebody with a brain help me??????

Not saying I have a brain, since I know very very little about diesel engines. But I ran the codes through my program and this is what it came back with. Sorry I can't be much help, I know someone on here can help you.
P1693 DTC Detected In ECM Or PCM
P0112 Intake Air Temperature Circuit Low Input
P0237 Turbo/Super Boost Sensor A Circuit Low Input

Been there....even called Cummins...they said that these are Dodge codes and couldn`t help me???? Go figure...ECM sent for reman twice..still same codes. I doubt it is the ECM, the reman company says they bench tested each time after reman and all voltages are at spec into and out of unit.

Wow that sucks - they cant diagnose **** so they keep throwing parts at it and youve got to pay. I would tow that truck out of there as soon as humanly possible.
H1 Bomber is correct on the codes. Wonder if they cleared the codes after changing the parts?
Wonder if its a ground problem or short in the harness? Check all grounds and load test the batteries at a parts store - those two things are FREE.

Dumb question, but how about a blown intercooler boot? Also, if it hasn't fixed the fault, I would pay them a freaking dime on parts! I would sit on the service managers desk and chew him a new one by now.
