Default white smoke at high RPMs

alright so i know white smoke is unburned raw fuel, or coolant. however, i only see the white smoke when im humming along, ill floor it, the tranny will downshift, all power is than lost, white smoke pours out the exhaust, and the engine clanks like an older 12v. once you let off the throttle, it calms down, and than runs normal. if you dont ever hammer it apove 2500 rpm, you never see the white smoke, only above 2500 rpm. just had tranny replaced, so i was thinking it was tranny problem, until i saw white smoke... any info would be greatly appreciated! thanks alot!
PS truck has 167 000 km on it, auto tranny, and is cummins HO.

Hows the coolant level been doing?? If it hasn't dropped, looking like injectors are in need of replacement.

coolant levels are fine, been keeping a close eye. coolant wouldnt just kick in and out like that tho would it? it doesnt smoke at startup or anything, only when you romp on it

the mileage hasnt changed alot, not enough to really notice, but definetly more black smoke, when you give it three quarter throttle from low idle, or stop. if you really hit it its all white, that why it makes me think injector...? if it is injector, how do i go about figuring out which one to replace? iv heard to just put in a rich mixture of a injector cleaner, and drive it like you stole it.... however, i like my truck and dont want more problems haha

yeah, but that's something I never would've thought to check. now if that ever happens to me it'll be one of those simple things I check first. Thanks for not bein too embarassed to tell us, LOL. I know a guy who replace the entire fueling system on his truck only to find out he was out of fuel and his gauge was faulty
