Default Diesel starting problem

Hey All I have a Toyota 2L-T diesel engine and last saturday it would not start. After meesing with it for several hours we got it going by cracking all the injectors loose and cranking it for several minutes it started and it ran fine.I figured it ran out of fuel but was showing 1/4 tank filed it an was good for the day.

Next morning same issue had to bleed the system.Seems like if it now sets for more than 4 hrs i Have to bleed the system or crank it for a very long time. But if it sits for more than 4 hours i have no chose but to crack some injectors to get it to fire.It has all new fuel lines.
The filter was replaced on Saturday. And the injector pump was rebuilt 3 years ago and has very little miles but truck had sat i my garage for over a year while i rebuilt it but have been driving it off and on for the past 9 months.

I had the fuel shut off out and seemed like it is working fine. Not sure if this acts as a check valve when it shuts down.

Any Ideas on what might be causing this.Any help guys would be much appreciated.

Fuel filter housing is cracked, filter gasket it bad, loose or dirty fuel filter. Or you got a leaking fuel pump, or like DM said, a hose/line with a hole in it.

Since no updates in a long time, I'm going to assume this is a fixed problem and am closing the thread. If need be, this thread can be reopened.
