Default 99dodge automatic blues

i have a99 dodge with 95 12 valve& trany i was going home the other day and while passing some cars it was like someone pushed my tourque lockup button off i was in overdrive i thought the trany gave out but i still had all my gears istoped and took off slowly turned my tourque lock on and thetourqe lockedup like normal but after giving it alittle more fuel it felt like it was slipping got it home and parked it till today i decided to take it up the road i made it about 1/2 mile and lost everything for a moment then the gears came back but if igave it any throtle i didnt have any gears i pulled the trany and my front input shaft was shattered (bad tourqe converter what do you guys think ??????) 600hp

sounds like you broke your input shaft , did it take the TC with it?

Not nessesarly. If your input shaft was shattered that could also be your reason for "slippage". You put a lockout switch on a stock converter? Id say thats def a bad idea. Billet shafts are a must have too. When you hit that lockup switch all of the torque stress goes directly to that main input shaft, if its a stock converter its probably unable to "convert" or exchange (not sure of the right word) transfer that power over to the output shaft.

in short, call dave goerend or whoever answers the phones up there now. Tell him your story, it'll be expensive but it'll be worth it. At worst case, tripple disc coverter valve body and billet shafts.. then later on down the rd u can get a billet plate too and ungraded valve body unless you want to do it all at once. 563-778-2719
