2001 dodge diesel
I've changed my fuel filter before & know how to bleed the air out. But it keeps draining away from the injectors.Have checked all from & to the fueltank. Can't find anything wrong! Also with that problem, once I do have it running it purrs like a cummins! . Till I put it in gear then it dies. If I keep the RPM's up above 900 I can take it out of park or neutral I can keep it running. Any help would be GREAT! Thanks,Weyco Woods Man

you are sucking air somewhere in the fuel line supply.......check it over real good
as far as it dieing you must have a auto tranny I assume?????????????
if so re-cal yer APPS
turn key on (dont start it)
slowly push accelerator to the floor
slowly let accelerator back up to idle position
turn key off
start truck and enjoy

To find codes without a code reader you need to use this procedure.
Turn key on (no start)
Turn Key off
Turn Key on (no start)
Turn key off
Turn Key on (no start)
Look in the odometer and the codes will begin to show. Write them down and then post them up.

Well all of the above are great ideas. Hopefully it isn't the VP44. It should show some codes. Will be waiting to hear back

Well I checked my lines, filter&O-ring,primed &purged, got it running.Turned it off.Recaled my apps. Went to start it again, crankin but no purrin. Really checked hard again from the vp44 to the head. Found two weeps when I put a load on it. One on 1# & the other on #3. I'm hope it's just the hardlines & not the head. Any help would be great. Thanks, Weyco Woods Man.

Nope! I even put a ceaterpipe on the wrench. Went as far as I could with out pulling threads. I think my #1 are wore out at the nut .Where can I get new replacement lines, without going to a dealer . Don't have alot of money.

One of our sponsors may be able to help you - im not sure if any carry oem stuff though.
I think your best bet is someone thats parting a truck out.
