Default 06 dodge starts then dies

Hey guys,

I have an 06 dodge megacab, only mods are an intake and exhaust. Went out to start the truck and it started then died. It did this a few times, then I emptied the fuel filter to make sure it wasn't pumping water. Now it will turn over, but no start. I'm about to go pull the negative leads and let it sit for thirty to see if that helps. Any ideas? Never had any issues like this. I can still here the lift pump working. Help, Ive got to get to work in the morning. Thanks!

Your key fob might be giving you issues. Try replacing the battery in the fob, or use your extra key.

The chip inside won't be able communicate with the column. I tried the same thing with a key that only unlocks the doors. Truck would run, then die. Tried to restart, but no luck. Stuck the chipped key back in, and it fired right up.

Great! I'll give that a try in a sec. Getting ready to plug the batteries back in.

Wildbill, thanks man! I plugged the batteries back in and it started right up. Not sure if it was the key fob, but I have been having problems with it off and on locking and unlocking the doors. Sometimes it won't work when I'm right next to the truck. It was either that or a huge brainfart in the truck computer. I love the truck, but I could really due without all the electronic big brother junk. Do you happen to know what size batteries those fobs take? I'm gonna replace the batteries in both before I get stranded. Thanks again!
