Default Duramax wont start

For the secont time in a month my 2004 duramax wont start. It stalled on me while I was slowing down for a stop sign and is dead in the water. I was able to get it to fire a couple times by loosening the priming screew and priming it with the filter pump, but it would only run for maybe 30 seconds. It was about 10 above zero out so I wouldn't think that that would be the problem? I put some degelling stuff in it and put it in the garage but it still wont start. It seems to be getting some air from somewhere because when I blead it off when priming it some air will come out. This happened about a month ago and I changed the feul filter and it took care of the problem. Any thoughts????
Thanks in advance, Brad

Where Should I start checking for leaks? I did change filter a few weeks ago but was pretty careful putting the new one on. I have only ran It for a few days since. I thought maybe my fuel was gelling and then sucking air from tank but that dont seem to be the problem. Should I get a new filter and put it on?

Thanks for all the help. I changed the fuel filter and primed it. It started up and seems OK. I just wish I could figure out what the problem was. It did seem to be getting air somehow from somewhere, The filter was a little loose but not bad. I guess I'll have to run it and see. there is no upgrades on the truck its bone stock. Thanks again, I'll be back if needed, Great site
