$24000 bucks to pay off the loan and its yours, then I will buy a new chevy for $100,000 and make sure the crane is bigger and remote controlled.

I searched the web and I found a dozen or more complaints about wipers killing the engine, but they all just seem to end and no one has had the answer on how to fix it or what is causing it.

Its gotta be a bad ground. I have an 01 250 and when I would use my cb the truck would die. Turns out the ground was bad and was interfering with my chip and killingthe truck. Turn chip off still kills truck. Replaced ground works perfect.

this is for Benjamin
he PM me and I cant figure out how to reply or send a PM on this forum, I guess I am getting old
I have the old GEM I took out but its for a truck with NO power windows and NO shift on the fly 4wd, so it wont do you any good if you are needing it for the shift on the fly 4wd.

they can always sent PM's to Admins and Bombsquad members when they have under 10 post. they just can't send PM's to regular users... keeps the spammers away....
that is a good thing to try. i'd take a few wires, put aligator clips on the ends and start grounding the case of the wiper motor to stuff, ground it to the frame, the battery, the motor, run extra grounds from the batteries to the motor and the frame, and make sure you have a good chassis ground from the body to the frame/battery. hope this helps

yea, I done that, ground wires everywhere, nothing helps

anybody got a good wiring schematic?????
I have a chilton, its not the greatest by no means, a body wiring would help too, something that gave locations of ground points and to what that ground point goes to.

thanks hoss, aleast I am not crazy, you should see the look on some people's faces when I tell them my wipers kill my engine, it really looks bad when a mechanic/owner of a field repair and service business cant even get his heavy repair service truck running

No problem man - just trying to help... did you check and make sure you don't have any water leaking in somehow ... that was about the only one that I saw had a solution.. the others were just hit or miss

I really appreciate it. As soon as it quits raining in this 30deg weather, I am going to pull the PCM out and see what I can figure out, I wish I had a break out board for the PCM so I can tested wires, while it is hooked up and the truck running.
---AutoMerged DoublePost---
found a pcm pin diagram
popped fuses on 3 grounds and 3 power, all good, nice clean pops, so I have amps and voltage to the pcm
by the way getting to that pcm connector is a SOB!!!! I thought I might have to pull the fender for awhile
so now I am at a real loss, tomorrow I am going to probe a ref voltage wire and max/min it on the fluke and see if that is what I am loosing when it dies, after that I dont know what to do, wrap the cps wires in a ground shield loom to protect the ac signal to the pcm
does anyone know if the pcm can be tested anywhere
:a rgh:

I regounded everything to the battery, frame, body, engine, and the cut the ground to the wiper motor and hooked it to the battery, nothing changed,
even grounded the hot run wire out of the steering column with a diode to kill any type of feed back from something, nothing, every thing always checks out ok
I think its in the firewall plugs because that is the only thing I havent checked yet,
does anyone know if you can unplug those plugs with power going to them and not effect the air bags
if it will effect the air bags, how do you disarm them
