I accelerated to cross a highway and my truck bogged out on me. I pulled the following code from the system. P1316-Injector Curcuit/IDM Codes Detected. I am assuming this means a bad fuel injector. Is there a way to make sure that is the problem? Also, whats the best way to isolate the bad injector if that is the problem? Thanks for any help on this issue.

It also could be the harness that runs the injectors. It is under the valve covers. They popped off of mine and it did the same thing and sounded like it was running on 4 cylinders

There cheap I would order both sides and changethem both cause even if it is an injector your still safe changing them since you have it open. then just clear the code and you should be set

That code is a generic code for any injector problem, I have had the same problem with the harness under the valve cover coming unpluged, I zip tie mine together now, I would also suggest find someone with a scan tool that can buzz check your injectors to make sure all of them work before you put it back together because I have also had a valve cover connector pin fail and a wire harness problem under the valve cover
