HELP!!!
I'm no expert on the codes by any means but with that P0230 it sounds like your VP is fried. I would bet that the stock lift pump went bad and this lead to the VP electronics overheating since it uses extra fuel as a means of cooling it. When the lift pump goes there is no extra fuel to the VP. This is where that fuel pressure gauge would have saved your VP and you over $1000 for a replacement. If I am right about what the code means of course.
I have a Airdog 150 gph pump my lift pump died and this is what i could get ahold of fast and i need my truck asap .......my truck only has exhaust and intake, will this pump harm my truck in anyway, it says its for moderate to extreme horsepower.....what pressure is the pump set to make from the airdog factory.....answers back asap would be greatly appreciated, thanks

I don't see where it would hurt the truck nor have I heard of any damage from it. BUT, I am no expert either. Let me see if I can find anything for ya and in the mean time this will knock you back to the top of the list and maybe somebody else can give you a definitive answer.
defantly sounds like a vp failure the air dog should be between 15 -17 psi at idle and you shouldnt be able to draw it much below that, unfortnaly these injection pumps have a poor fuel suppy pump stock and since it uses the fuel also as lube for the pump when the stock pump gets weak it starves the engine of fuel and the injection pump of lubercation and failure will occure. but once u get that air dog and probly a new injection pump on there you should be good the vps will last a long time is suplyed the proper ammount of fuel.

Other then the fuel pressure gauge readin 0 and sluggish climbin the hills with trailers I would have never known the difference. That's why so many guys burn the VP's up when they don't have a gauge. In most cases they run just fine without the LP, if you still have a good VP that is. The other thing that probably would make a difference is the amount of restriction you still have in your fuel lines. All my stock fuel lines and Banjo's left this truck pretty early in life.

, i couldnt find the 1693 but the first one tells the story of your problem.
