thanks cause i doubt if the motor is bad 185,000 miles! I'm going to pick iut up now.

Lessen they got it running and revved the crap out of it. Might be one of those shops.

Just picked up the truck,it runs like it always has pulls strong cut it off it cranks back like it suspose to.... they charged me $120.00 and said they can't be responsiable for the motor if drove it home...I'll see in the morning if it cranks or not....tony

Truck cranked fine this morning, went to work and strated back home truck died completly after about 5 miles with entire dash gauges not working. I pulled both batteries and alternator 1 battrey tested bad, and the alternator test 10 amps replaced batt and alternator, trucks runs GREAT, so far everything is fine. thanks to everyone and especially WILD BILL for sticking this thing out. We don't give up in the DID-ST section. Glad everything worked out! Dang good thing you didn't believe them that the motor was going, or it would've been a $8000 bill.

I agree on the bill at first they told me that they only install remanufactored engines from ford dealership this way i get a warranty. I called a local salavge yard for a engine an the guy said "you must be the one todd called about a engine for , I have one with a 100,000 miles on it for $3500.00. Guess they was going to get me a used engine an charge me for a remanufactored engine [qouted price$ 8,000.00] and charge $1300.00 labor...I see now everyone ani't honest in doing business.....Truck still fires up like a champ a pulls like JACK THE BEAR.......THANKS A MILLION ....tony
