Default when to do in chassis overhaul

My truck has been running badly and i have to put it in shop. If a cylinder needs replacement (320,000 miles) I'd like to do all 6 and replace lower end bearings and get head rebuilt. They replace the liners for a whole new cylinder, correct?
In chassis overhaul should save $$ over engine being pulled, correct? What would make it better to pull the engine, just to replace block or something?

Wow. I guess that makes a difference doesn't it? Sorry!

I've now heard that my engine doesn't have liners to replace?
But I think that I've seen them coming with pistons and the rest of the stuff?
I guess that means that you have to pull the engine and bore the block and all that to get a "new" cylinder?

Yeah, it sounds like your engine doesn’t have replaceable liners, so you’d need to bore out the block if the cylinders are worn. That’s a bigger job than just swapping out liners and pistons. It’s pretty standard on some engines, but definitely more work. You might have to pull the engine and go the full rebuild route if the block’s worn too much.
