Default 2001 Starts Hard - Lift Pump?

I have a 2001 with a stock setup and stock pump. I'm suspecting my issue is the lift pump is going out. If the truck sits over night or a few days I have to crank on it a lot to get it to fire. Once it's started or warmed up it fires right off like it's primed up. I suspect this is a lift pump going out. That being said I was looking at the FASS drp or the ddrp. I don't know the difference between them and can't seem to find any comparisons. What's the thought on them or do I go to a Carter? Seems like the opinions are all over for write-ups. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Fass DRP and DDRP is the same pump far as I know it stands for Direct Dodge Replacement Pump. or just Dodge replacement pump.
I prefer a pump and filter system and relocating it. Either Airdog 2 or Fass Titanium series.
If I had to choose between the Fass DRP and the stock carter it would be Fass.
