2004 5.9 24 valve Cummings all of a sudden started ticking then drove it bout 2 miles started banging like someone was hitting motor with a hammer any suggestion what it might b ?

could be that your about to throw a rod out the side of the block...or u have a stuck open injector....time to stop running it down the street before you do some real damage...scott
