Default 7.3 psd will not start

Hello guys I'm new to the site glad to have found it. OK I HAVE A 1997 F-250 7.3 POWER STROKE SUNDAY WHILE DRIVING THE FUEL FILTER LIGHT CAME ON BUT STILL RAN FINE, ON MY WAY BACK HOME IT ACTED LIKE IT RAN OUT OF FUEL AND DIED, IT DID START UP ONE TIME BUT RAN ROUGH AND DIED TOWED IT HOME CHANGED FILTER BUT HAS NOT STARTED BACK UP. I'M IN TEXAS SO WHEN I CHANGED THE FILTER THE HEATING ELEMENT WAS IN PIECES SO I REMOVED IT AND PUT FILTER IN I CHECKED FUSES THERE ALL GOOD I HAVE FUEL AT THE BOWL THE TACK MOVES WHEN I TRY TO START IT AND THE WAIT TO START LIGHT COMES ON AND IT ALSO SMOKES WHEN I'M TRYING TO START IT , IT'S A F-250 7.3 POWER STROKE WITH OVER 300,000,000 MILES AND THIS IS THE FIRST PROBLEM I HAVE HAD WITH IT , ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT , THANKS

Ok ps injectors are run by oil pressure they got 2 pumps a low pressure pump and a high pressure just in front of where your fuel filter goes there is a Allen head plug pull it out and there should be oil 3 quarter to an inch down if there isn't your oil level in engine could be low there is also 2 sensor that run your injectors there is 1 on the bottom right side of your of your fuel filter in the back of it its your IPC it could beout I've had to change mine and there is another sensor not sure what it's called it's on the oil rail on the driverside head it's the easiest of the 2 to change I'd check both of them first after you check the engine oil first
