Default 1987 6.2 - Glow plugs won't light

Have a 1987 2500 with 6.2. Glow plugs will not light, therefore engine will not fire. Have converted to manual switch, worked for a couple days then nothing. Check all electrical connections to solenoid, harness, controller, battery. Was used in warmer weather as daily driver, now in colder climate. Old truck that just needs to be used for hauling. Any suggestions on what to check/do next?

this might sound crazy but have you checked the solenoid out for proper working order..with it not working the glow plugs will not come on...glow plugs all might be bad...should read no more than 1 ohm each...hope this helps...scott

Thanks jjohnson. Will be taking readings from both solenoid and glow plugs. Thank you.

I bet you fried the glow plugs with extended time. The OEM plugs bust at more than 5 sec unless really cold.
