Default Ford f-250 power stroke 6.0 turns over but no start

I was driving and my gas light had just came on I couldn't have went more than 10 miles I was driving and the truck just died I thought the truck might be out of gas so I put gas in it .. and nothing. Changed the fuel filters and still nothing . Sprayed starting fluid in it . It started and died . I turned the key on and off pushing fuel through it to get any air out. Fuel is in the fuel filter up by the Engine . The truck has never done this before . Can anyone help me on what my next step would be?

Well if you are sure that fuel is rising in the fuel filter housing on top of the engine fuel pump should be ok, but I'm thinking, First is if your fuel regulator is functioning properly, in other words that you have proper fuel pressure. It's hard to test fuel pressure, I have my own unique way of doing it but it's quite the thing but you can easily take apart the regulator that is on the fuel filter housing on top of the engine. Just check if the o ring and that rubber washer(or gasket how ever you want to call it) that is on the little piston that the spring is pushing against is not deteriorated, even check that spring too. It's possible something wrong there and just clean it all. Second thing is to find out with a tuner display or a diagnostic tool, the ipc pressure (should be above 500psi to start), but it may unlikely but it's possible that there is a problem with the high oil pressure system. Things can happen all at the same time, with what I experienced. But if I were you, go from here, hope it just the first thing I just mentioned. Hope it works out

Default broken f250

Hey bro f Hz for sharing your knowledge with me and will check that out but let me ask u or anyone who hears my distress call for help ,I forgot to mention it earlier but I've had 2 glow plugs go out both times in bank 1 and I replaced it and within a few weeks it went out again so I replaced it again and around a month later my check engine light came on again so this time I ignored it and my check engine light would come on for a few days and then go off for a few then the light st as yes off so now I put a code tester on it and it says the glow plug and that the truck is not firing right cause of it so first can that b the problem why it's not starting up and do I have to replace all 8 glow plugs???

Hey man, so I'm wandering if your glow plug module is malfunctioning, maybe it just keeps frying the glow plug. I've never had that problem before, but I did get once one glow plug needed to be changed, but it did not stop the engine from starting though. But if say half or more glow plugs don't work then for sure the truck won't fire up, especially if your in the below 60'F ambient temp. But to find out really if your glow plugs is causing from firing up, plug in your block heater for atleast 3 hours, then if it starts its got to be the glow plugs the issue really lies, and figure where the problem lies. But I know for a fact that using starter fluid can really damage glow plugs, even can cause other damage. So using starter fluid on these thing isn't NOT recommended. If someone needs to use starting fluid, to start it, you should alway unplug the starting aid system (glow plug, grid heater, etc.)

it is cheap to replace them all, maybe around 80$, but passenger side is always a pain though.
