Have you had a chance to fix this?

no....i really have no clue....apprentley my fuel sender is messed up becuase it said i had a quater tank of fuel but the tank was empty. I put ten gallons in it. changed the lift pump and changed the fuel filter. Ive got a steady stream of fuel going into the pump and it cranks fine. What should i do now? I checked some relays and they clicked when I plugged them in and I checked most small fuses with a test light and they appear to be okay. Theres still no codes in the computer. What else can I check?

So you ran it out of fuel??

If so, your fuel line is likely air bound.

Did you check the fuel pressure? Have you cracked #1 injector line?

Getting a VP44 for around $1k is tough these days there Evil. You want to make sure it isn't a rebuild but a new case, new shuttle and so forth otherwise it is a waste of money. $1.5k is about right.
MWFI sold me my last one,it went well over 200k miles,$1046 was what I paid for that one, shipping included.
I've got that one for sale, since it won't fit my SO engine that I have in the truck now.
just letting ya know
