When my truck is warmed up it will not idle correctly when it is in neutral and park. Also, when I have the air conditioning on and am sitting at a red light it will just shut off even if it is idling correctly. Does anyone know what the problem could possibly be?

 

We need a little more info, any mods to the truck? and so on. When you say it doesn't Idle correctly, what do you mean?? it could be just a ICP sensor, they can make it surge or stall out.

 

It has a banks power performance, an after market exhaust, a aftermarket air filter, and a super chip programer. The guy I bought it from has nit changed the fuel filters sense 06 when it had 56,000 miles. Now it only has 70,000 miles. Are fuel filters the same as oil filter? Do you have to change them every so often if it just sits?

 

yes, normally every 15k miles but i it sits for a long time then algae can build up and clog filters. since 06 is way too long, at least once a year no matter the mileage because the filter material doesn't last forever
