Default WATER IN FUEL light

came on last nigh, i got off work, and it started pouring down rain. No big deal, just alot of people not knowing how to drive. and all of the sudden my WATER IN FUEL light came on. so i pulled over and called a buddy, he told me not to worry about it. i turned the truck off, and cranked it back over. no more light... any clue what happened?
i have a airdog 100 also. and the guy who installed it removed the factory filter and everything off the block.

probably just got some moisture on the wif plug from wet roads and caused the light to turn on, has happened to me a few times. You could tape up the plug real good and that might help keep it off when.
