Default U joint or rear end

I went to the drag strip tonight on the way home when I let off the accelerator I hear a metal clicking when I accelerate it's fine is this the u joint if so how hard replace if so its a 97 dodge 2500 thank you for all replys

I would say U joint, but get down there and check them. They are pretty simple to replace but you need to verify that is what it is first.

Move them around if there is play in them they are more than likely bad.
