U joint or rear end
 

I went to the drag strip tonight on the way home when I let off the accelerator I hear a metal clicking when I accelerate it's fine is this the u joint if so how hard replace if so its a 97 dodge 2500 thank you for all replys

I would say U joint, but get down there and check them. They are pretty simple to replace but you need to verify that is what it is first.:c:

How do u verify?

Move them around if there is play in them they are more than likely bad.
