Default 01 Cummins, rough idle, stall under throttle

OK, This started Monday morning. I have a 01 Cummins that started to miss while driving, which led into irregular RPMs and hard idle and a speed of less than 20. First thing I did was shut off my Edge Comp and pull over. In park the motor would idle fine, but when given fuel, the motor would pop and miss as well as puff white smoke. I unplugged the Comp from the harness with no other change other then instantly kicking check engine light. Getting P0237 and P0230 codes, MAP sensor and Lift pump. Completely disconnected the Edge harness from the truck hoping that was the issue, still no luck. Replaced the fuel filter and checked to make sure the IP was getting fuel from the LP. While idling there is fuel coming out of the inlet banjo bolt. I have a FASS DDRP LP. After changing the filter truck would not fire for the first few cranks, when it did start it would idle perfect, even when giving throttle in park but as soon as I put it in drive it would go a few feet then stall out to the point the motor would just about shut off. I will, asap, change the MAP sensor and throw a stock LP back in to see if the DDRP is shot.
For the past few years truck has only been used for 150+ mile trips, hauling limestone and the occasional trip to a bonfire. Has been used as daily driver, 90 miles or less a day, for 3 weeks

Tee in a fuel pressure gauge. That sounds almost like a Dead VP but I forget what the code was. I'd check fuel pressure with a gauge first.

Should get it back to my garage tomorrow. VP44 death code is P0216, I had it 5 years ago when the fuel relay went bad.

This I know,I'm not even attempting to start her until I get a replacement lift pump and pressure tester.

Had it towed home, no CLE but still acts up when it hits 1500 RPM. Idles find and revs fine in park. When its in gear is when it starts hesitating.
