One minute I am driving on the freeway on I-5, next minute my motor is ruined. No warning whatsoever. 110,000 miles. 2.8 CRD. Hole in the block on passenger side towards the front, just above the oil pan. What could cause this kind of damage? Motor still starts & runs. Had to start it to get it on the U-Haul car trailor with no winch. Went to autowreckersonline to look for a new short block or complete engine. Will remove the timing belt cover when I get the engine out and see if it is still in time. Any leads on where to find another motor?
