Unhappy FNG Post

I have a 1999 GMC with a gas hog 454 Gasser, and I plan to convert it to a Cummins, with one of the two doner trucks that I own. The first is a 1994 Cummins with 175000 miles and an automatic transmission which I have replaced three times. Purchased a NV 4500 complete with bellhousing adapter, engine adapter, clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, throw out etc etc to go in that. Also purchased a 1998 12V 3500 with 145000 miles which leaks oil badly. Will rebuild one and use the other for doner, Any help appreciated.

I'd go with the 98 12v donor! It has the bigger P-7100 pump in it. Contact 66Cummins about transplanting. On the NV4500 make sure you go in there and fix the 5th gear. The nuts are notorious for backing off and causing problems! Jump in and have some fun!

Go with the 98 12 valve, if you do any heavy towing sell the nv4500 and get a nv5600. Where is the oil leaking from?

oh ya, WELCOME!!!!
