New guy from North Alabama
Hey guys. I've been creeping looking at yall's site and decided to join. Looks like alot of useful information. I was a heavy duty diesel mechanic to pay for college but never personally owned one. I mostly worked on Mack's but have worked on Detroits and Caterpillars also. I bought a 1991.5 Dodge W250 about 2 months ago. It had a bad getrag so I got somewhat of a deal on it. I'm guessing that 91.5 stands for intercooled trucks. I'm having engine problems with a knock lately but hope to figure it out with this great source of information. Thanks for letting me join!

Hello
I am new here as well. I need to chat with someone that knows the old 8.2 Fuel Pincher
turbo Detroit . We just bought a lightly used low mileage (105K) 1 owner, garage kept Toterhome with this engine. We will be pulling a sprint car trailer with it (40').
I have read a lot of bad press in the 8.2 so would like to keep ahead of this engine regarding maintenance and use. Any info or hints from you would be appreciated.
Thanks!
