Greetings from the far north

Glad I found this great site, there's lots of talent on here. I'm a former Caterpillar mechanic and I'm planning to put a 6bt in my '87 chevy 1ton crew cab. when I get all the parts here, I will start a thread on it. I got the truck from a fire dept. in wa. state. so it was allways garage kept and had 46k miles on it. right now it's got a 350 tbi and th400 and 4.10's I intend to do a 2" body lift and the rest will depend on what i find for a donor.

actually not that far, I'm at the northern part of southeast alaska, but pretty far removed from the rest of the world.

Haines ? or Skagway? either way I wish I was there instead of here. I really miss Alaska. Spent time in Anchorage and Southeast.... Take the Southeast anytime. Welcome to DB its always interresting on here,...
