ready to learn
First and foremost, I want to make it clear, I don't know anything but basic things about diesel engines. In fact, I don't know much about engines in general. I just bought my first diesel yesterday, a 97 powerstroke with 124000 miles. I've researched diesels for the last two months and narrowed what I was after to this vehicle. Like I said, I know nothing other than basics, and am looking for a place that I can go to for advice, guidance and help in general. I have read a few of the recent posts and frankly, I don't know 3/4 of the stuff that people are talking about, but I am willing and truly want to learn. I have never done my own servicing, other than oil changes, and this is something that I really want to change, not only for the financial benefits, but for the satisfaction of doing my own work on my own vehicle. Anyone interested in teaching a complete newbie diesel engines? I hope so......
