colorado's a cummin!
hey all im tyler from castle rock, co (between denver and colorado springs) and am workin on getting my 2nd cummins! i had a 98.5 24v that i couldnt keep an auto trany in so ended up trading it for my subaru. now im tired of driving a car so looking to get a 12v standard trans cummins! i am a auto mechanic and know the basics of diesels but am certin i can figure it all out in time.
i am really looking for a 1st generation 4x4 5 speed truck but cant find one in my price range so right now i have my eyes on a 2nd gen. 95 4x4 reg cab 5 speed truck with a 93 motor in it. the truck has 400k on the clock but the engine is around 250k so a lotta miles but hey its a cummins! im curious as to what i can check out before i decide to purchase it? supposedly the tcase was recently rebuilt. the fuel guage and coolant temp guages dont work supposedly because they need sending units replaced. other then that it seemed pretty solid.
