Default New Member- 4BT Info?

I'm a new member who wishes to jump into a 4bt cummins conversion. My dream is to take a 2nd gen Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 and remove the 318 and drop in the 4bt cummins engine. Better mileage than the 6bt and better ride than the 3/4 ton. Looking for any info.

Hey Shawn, glad to see ya. Make sure to spend some time readin through some of the site just to get an idea of what your gonna need to look for to make this project happen. Diesels are a whole different animal then gassers but there's not a whole lotta difference between the Cummins 4bt and the and the Cummins 6B that we use in these trucks. All the same priciples of operation.

Don't forget to visit our section on conversions.
