Default New Diesel fella

Obviously I'm new, just saying hey to everyone. I am finally the proud owner of an 05 Chevy Duramax LT crew cab short bed. Just bought the truck with 44,500 miles so I plan on it lasting a very long time yet. The upgrades so far, Banks exhaust and a Hypertech tuner. The tuner will be going away soon and will be shopping for an upgrade. It was with the truck when I bought it. Sits on 35"x13.5" Pro Comp tires with 18" wheels, 6" suspension lift. Also has HID head and fog lights, aftermarket winch bumper (winch to come soon) tubular steps that will be upgraded to power steps that come down when the doors open (can't remember the name off the top of my head.) Bed rails, flush mount toolbox in the bed, and spray in bed liner. On the inside I have put in a Pioneer AVIC x920bt navigation unit from my old truck, back up camera and just waiting on delivery of my box to put in my speakers.

Enough about my truck. I'm pretty new to diesel tech so will be scowering the forums for knowledge. Had to upgrade as I've always loved seeing the power people get out of diesels and went with the duramax as I've always been a GM guy. My previous truck was almost the exact same but an extended cab and had the 6.0.

Anywhoser, diggin the site so far.

I appreciate it gents. Been absorbing tons of how to the last several days. I can't wait for the next week so I can get started on a few upgrades. I'm having a rough time trying to decide whether to go with the lbz or kodiak mp. Going to also do the egr blocker and fingerstick and the pcv reroute while I'm at it. Then I will probably start looking at upgrading my tranny so that I handle either a PPE or EFI live. Still trying to come up with ideas on how to make my intake a little better, to cut down on hot air from the engine bay and all.
