Hello I would like to introduce myself and my company
My name is Cam Mandel and I have owned and operated Taber Diesel Services Ltd in Taber Alberta for the past 26 years.

I am a licensed tech but do not swing the wrenches much anymore. I have owned and run more than 20 diesel vehicles in the past 30 years. My first a brand new 1980 5.7L Pontiac, 6.2's with and without turbos, several 6.5L's, 3 or so 7.3L the first 6.0L to hit Southern Alberta. (only had it for 4 months because they could not make it run) and 6 duramax's my latest daily drivers are 2007 Tourareg with the V10 and a 2011 BMW X5.

I am past president of the Association of Diesel Specialists Association of Diesel Specialists | Diesel Service | Diesel Repair and current board member. I am also a member of the diesel technology form. Diesel Technology Forum — Diesel Technology Forum.

Taber Diesel has specialized in 3 business over the past 26 years.

Diesel injection service from basic injectors to the electronic pumps. We are factory authorized by Bosch, Stanadyne, Denso etc and we have all the latest Bosch test equipment. We are currently the largest volume service dealer in Canada for Bosch diesel parts and Stanadyne additive.

Diesel pickup truck service. We primarily service all domestic pickup trucks focusing on the powertrain. We sell reman engines from Reviva out of Minneapolis and are an Alliant Power products dealer. Our customer base is large and a large majority of our customers use their trucks to make a living IE welders, farmers, landscaping, ambulances and the biggest group oil field service trucks.

Diesel injection test equipment. In 1998 there was a need for testing of the Powerstroke injector and no equipment existed to do this. Due to some personal issues DIVORCE I found I had some extra time on my hands in 1999 and I developed a tester. I took the prototype to a trade show in Vegas in the summer of 1999 and the rest is history. We have sold a few more than 100 of these testers and they are in Canada, US, Mexico, Panama, Columbia, South Africa and the UK. We continue to develop kits to test other injectors in the HEUI line.

I must let everyone know we are not in the pickup truck performance business. We did this for 3 years and the products became too commoditized. IE everyone including muffler shops are selling this stuff for no margin so they cannot support the product very well in most cases. We do however represent a product from Europe STEINBAUER. This is a very high tech power enhancement product for industrial, ag and semi trucks. They also make products for VW, BMW etc but at more than $2000 each they are not very popular on the smaller vehicles here yet.

Welcome to Diesel Bombers! I grew up near Wardlow, Alberta, if you know where that is. I've even been to your shop a few times. Picked up a friends 92 ish Dodge Diesel. I'll bet you can remember a crew cab, long box diesel, that was having issues with the fan jumping into the radiator.

Also, the injection pump on my truck right now is from your shop. From Taber diesel, to Ponoka Chrysler, and into my truck. All I'm going to say is it starts every time, performance though.....

Hello I hope things are well and yes I remember that truck with the rad problem. Is it still alive??
