Default New guy with 01 Cummins

New to the site and relatively new to diesel. Started with 84 F250 6.9, then traded up to the Dodge 3500 Quad cab Dually, or as my boy calls it "Daddy's Big Red Truck" It's still the way i bought it (pretty much stock) at the moment, has K&N Cold Air Intake and Flow Master Exhaust and I'm pretty sure there is some sort of tune in it cause PO put a speed limiter on it so it cuts out at 70 Only thing I have done so far is put PPE Lift pump in it cause the stock one was completely shot.

If you took it to the dealer and had it reflashed wouldnt that delete previous programing? Thus getting rid of the stop at 70?

The dealership can but I would rather save the $100 plus to put toward my own tuner. Most of my driving is speed limit 55 so the limiter isn't a huge deal at the moment.

Small town western KY just north of ft Campbell. Most of my driving is 2 lane back and forth to post so I don't notice the limiter too much only when I get on the interstate.
