My name is joey miller and i wheel and daily drive my 05 ****** edition tj and im planning on swaping in the 4bt and a 700r4 to hopefully. ill be running a HP 9" in the back and a spider trx HI 9 up front or dana 60's and run 41" iroks
the jeeps current status is a 1"MML, 2" bl, 4" lift with home made control arms, flat belly skid, oil pan skid, and gas tank skid. novak adapter t-case shifter conversion. smittybuilt src bumper front and rear w/ tire carrier. running 35" MT Claws on black American Racing wheels. it has the trusty 4.0l with a 62mm tb and spacer with a banks ram air intake sys. and a unichip. it has the nsg370 6-speed aswell.
ive been lookin around on the site for a couple months now and finnaly decided to take advantage of the site ill most likely be using a 2005 re-man 4bt if i can find one under $5000 highly doubt it though may just have to give a few people a call at cummins.

Welcome to DB.

Not sure what to tell you about your engine swap but we have some pretty sharp people on here that can probably get you going.

Welcome. Glad to see another Jeeper on board. Sounds like you've got some interesting plans for your TJ. If you don't find the info you need about keeping your transmission, here's a couple of places you might try.
Pirate4x4.com as well as Advance Adapters.
There is also a guy on the Jeep board I hang out on who has a 4bt in a Durango. He might be able to pass some info along on what works and what doesn't. Once you start the build, definitely keep us posted on how things go.
