Pirate4x4.com as well as Advance Adapters.
There is also a guy on the Jeep board I hang out on who has a 4bt in a Durango. He might be able to pass some info along on what works and what doesn't. Once you start the build, definitely keep us posted on how things go.

Not being from that part of the country, I would be of absolutely no help there. I'm sure the DMV might be able to point you in the right direction. Either them, or somebody who performs state inspections might have some info on where to find out what you need to do to be legal.
Either way, I'm looking forward to build pics. One of these days I may get a wild hair and see about putting one in my CJ5.

Sounds like a plan to me. I'm only about 2.5 hours or so from there. There's a good place to go wheeling about 25 minutes from my house as well. I also saw that you made it over to Jeepin.com asking about hard tops. That's a good bunch over there too. The guy who owns the site is a friend of mine.
Let me know next time you're going to be down this way, and I'll give you a way to get in touch with me.

I'll have to go check it out. My only fear is it will get the wheels turning in my head, and get me to thinking I won't be able to live without swapping the 304 out of my CJ5 and putting a 4bt in its place.

are you running a carb still or have upgade to tbi or efi? you can always sell the parts off your cj to counter the parts for the 4bt swap your looking at around $1500 for a complete engine in yours compared to $5000 for the one i will be installing in mine since i need an 05 recon 4bt. and a transmission with transfer case will run you anywhere from $300 to $4000 then axle swap would be recomended atleast in the rear.
