Disclaimer: I do not currently own a diesel vehicle. I searched the rules and didn't find that there was an absolute requirement, so please forgive me if I overlooked it, I'll gladly sit back until I own one (I'll be posting in the potential owners section in a minute, anyway).

With that said, let me begin. My name is Shawn and I'll be 21 in February. I live in Aurora, Colorado, and have had an obsession with diesels from a very young age. My uncle had an old Ford tractor (don't remember the exact model, but I suspect it was a 1720). He used to let me tow and pull stumps with it. Diesel engines hold a special place in my heart due to their rugged and reliable workhorse nature.

In the past few months I've been getting my life together and I'll have a GED soon, with which I hope to get into a diesel mechanics course, so I'll spend a lot of time haunting this forum for any info I can get ahead of time.

P.S. I'm thankful for finally finding an unbiased forum! I like cummin' and strokin' equally!

owning a diesel is no requirement at all. we welcome anybody. this site has more of a family type setting than anything. the main requirement imo is treat people with respect. have fun learning
