96 cummins 12v little smoke

Default 96 cummins 12v little smoke
No fuel plate and no aneroid arm 4in straight exhaust and k&n air filter. new fuel fiter/water seperator. its a automatic truck. it barley smokes unless its n overdrive but then it only does for a matter of seconds. lacks low end power. any ideas??

You need to post that in 2nd Gen 12v section if you want to get some answers. I took the fuel plate outta mine and it runs like a bat out of he//.

i have a 96 2500 cummins that is bone stock aside from a fass fuel system and at 2500 to 3000 rpm it falls on its face anyone have any ideas? it pulls really good untill that range

Ur running out of fuel when u get that high on rpm's go up to 3250 and u float the valves
