Hey guys new to the site and am looking into buying my first diesel. I have been looking at 85 Chevy CC 6.2 that is all stock with about 200k on it. I have been reading about the 6.2's and I know they are not power houses but I am not looking for a power house and I wont be doing a lot of towing but the truck is in my price range that I would like to spend. What are some opinions on the 6.2's from guys that have them. I hope to learn alot here. Thanks

Welcome friend. I have a buddy of mine with the old 6.2 and I believe they were non-turbo, his swallows diesel like its free. I think you will find your money better spent on a 94-98 Dodge with the Cumins. I have seen them for as low as 3k.

first of all welcome aboard, there is not much hope for the 6.2 in performance, its down right gutlass and bad fuel milage, sorry to be so negative but i'v been down that road. you'll learn to hate it.a stock cummins is 3 times the motor. i wouldn't waist your time with it, (unless you plan to do a swap)
