Another one from the Pacific North Wet
Hello All
I live in the Pacific North Wet - 20 miles west of Seattle in Kitsap County.
For years - I had a 1986 Chevy Pickup - 6.2L NA, and a 1986 Chevy Van - 6.2L NA. But over the years, I was frustrated with the lack of power, etc. So, as time and money permitted, I have upgraded.
I started the upgrade with a 2002 Dodge 3500 w/ duallys, standard cab, 2WD. I hit all the web sites and determined what the key problems were - (poor lift pump performance, and the need for a fuel pressure gauge) ...and I promptly set out to do the recommended upgrades.
3 years later - I decided that I wanted the option of a 4WD vehicle (for winter driving)...so I added a 2002 Dodge 3500 w/ duallys, but this time - extended (quad?) cab. I am now doing the same upgrades.
Now - I want to research how to improve fuel economy. I drive careful (i.e. - egg shell between foot and pedal) ...and seldom am in a hurry - and want to find things that add fuel economy. A stock HO engine has more than enough power for my needs. But if diesel fuel hits $5.00 a gallon - I want fuel efficiency!!
BTW - Merry Christmas to all. My family will be celebrating Christmas on the 31st - as 2 sons in the military won't make it home til then. So today is a great holiday - but most of the celebrations and opening of presents must wait another six days!

This is a great site! I have lurked for over a year - reading posts, etc. It is great to get ideas, cross-check, hear the discussions pro- and con - before acting myself.
But I figured that, after a year of lurking - it was time to get active and introduce myself, and contribute, where I can.
