Default Another 6.0 loyalist. Least until it quits again!

New to the site. Just took my 03 6.0 in for head studs and EGR delete. I was dismayed to find both heads cracked beyond repair. My reward for impeccable maintenance and little abuse. Hope the next 125,00 miles aremore trouble free;-). Still won't trade it for another.

Never overheated, according to the temp gauges. Egr cooler did fail though. Upon teardown haed gaskets were ok though. Good head studs and no egr cooler equals reliable 6 liter. Too bad Ford didn't know that.

Most 6.0 problems were caused by people adding tuners

A lot are. Mine is stock minus intake and 4" exhaust. Bought it new in May of '03. Put all of the 125,00 miles on it.
