Welcome to the site!

Off-road fuel won't hurt your engine but it will definitely hurt your wallet if the DOT finds ANY trace of it in your fuel system. There was a member here from Texas that got checked while leaving a rodeo last year. He went home with a $32,000 fine!

Problem is that red dye in off-road fuel stays in the fuel system for several tank-fulls of highway fuel. The man can "dip" your tank or check the fuel filter for signs of dye. I suggest running at least 3 tanks of highway fuel through the truck, changing the filter at each fill-up, and pray you don't get pulled over for anything. Good luck.

Off road diesel won't hurt anything at all, but will cost you dearly if you get caught using it...

the probability of you getting pulled over by a dot or having a state trooper dip your tank is slim to none(not saying it cant happen but...) if you are that concerned with it you can go to the nearest trooper house or dot station and talk with an officer about it and they should give you some kind of temporary slip in case you do get dipped. also running some kind of fuel system or injector cleaner through your system will help get it out of the tank and lines better but changing the filter a few times over the next few fill-ups will help alot.

welcome

get a 5 gallon can of diesel fuel, a funnel and a fuel filter and tools, hop on the freeway and drive it until it runs out of fuel, change fuel filter, put the 5 gallons of fuel in it, crack #1 #3 & #5 injector lines, pump the pump on the side of the motor til it gets hard and start it, close injector lines and drive home with a 95% clean fuel system..... off road fuel will contaminate green fuel to the point that it is detectable for up to 5 tanks of fuel...
