Default Diesel

Hello,

Well, not every country build good Diesels in the past.
In some country's they use more Petrol then Diesel.

In the last years Diesel made a great jump because of our very expensive Petrol.

Mitsubishi was one of the first that build a (good) Turbo Diesel.
Also known as good Diesel builders are Mercedes, Peugeot and Renault.

But in the USA they built some pretty good V8, bit too much guzzling going on ...
Around 70% of the price of our Petrol is tax, Diesel is lower on road tax, but bigger on the road tax.
So if you make more miles, you mostly tent to drive a Diesel.

I drive a few converted Petrol engines to LPG (liquid petrol gas).
Older cars (>25 years till end 1986) are tax free, so I drive old stuff.

Ook welkom. Yep most of the V8 American made petrol cars run on LPG.

Petrol is very expensive over here so that why diesel took off so well on small cars
