Hey I forgot to throw an update up. The truck is rebuilt and actually is what I drive now as my dd and work truck. But I got a little impatient with trying to engineer everything into an older chevy body.
I ended up finding an awesome deal on another 2003 Dodge 2500 4x4 standard cab. I picked it up from Arizona on Halloween brought it back and stripped it down for the exchange which we did the following friday. I had everything reassembled and the the truck running by that sunday, installed the interior throughout the week when I had a chance to work on it and started driving it that thursday.
Everything worked out pretty smooth but the challenge of it was I decided to do it at my appartment since i didnt have to do any welding or crazy modifications. I did most of the work in my small car garage (which the truck barely fit). Everything was done by hand and standard hand tools except removing the crushed body and cutting a hole in the floor for the shifter in the new cab.

Thanks guys for the welcomes and good luck! Glad to be here.
